Each second life piece has a different origin story – some have come to us through Sustain, The Senator Group’s recycling centre, some through The Senator Group’s own manufacturing outlet, and some we have refurbished or remanufactured. What they all have in common is the life they have left to give. Through second life, waste becomes a resource, using significantly less carbon than required to make new.
An ever evolving stock of products
Some of our second life furniture is still in perfect condition, but some pieces show signs of general wear and tear. This furniture goes to our team of designers and engineers to be reimagined, retaining much of the value of the original, and in some cases repurposing recycled components to use in its restoration.

It is unacceptable to us that perfectly good furniture is still being sent to landfill. It’s estimated that in the UK alone, this waste equates to 670,000 tonnes per year.
Just because a business changes its corporate colour scheme, or that fashions or needs change, that shouldn’t be an excuse for being wasteful.
We welcome furniture that would otherwise be wasted. Our technicians give every piece a thorough inspection, before advising whether it needs to be repurposed, refurbished, remanufactured or recycled. Every piece of furniture or individual component we release can then live on in the circular economy.
