The best workplace furniture design isn’t built around the workplace. It’s built around people
Furniture can’t redefine your job or the tasks that work involves. But it can support you and create a better place for you to work – even when compared to your home office.
Who do you think of when it comes to inspiring workplaces? Google? Facebook? What have those spaces got in common? They began with understanding people. How they work best, learn best and how to foster great relationships. Long before we first heard the word ‘lock-down’, these companies designed workplaces that were a destination – a place that trumped the kitchen table or coffee shop as a place of work.
The modern workplace can take many different forms. But at the heart of it is people. Individuals. We start with them, not the space.
We’ve formulated an activity-based planning system that breaks the workspace down into a grid
We design the spaces we live in around the way we want to live. So why should our workplaces be any different? Quiet spaces to focus, to connect, to socialise, to relax. That’s the thinking behind Settings™.
We’ve carefully formulated an activity-based planning system that breaks the workspace down into a grid and allows clients to build their office using five key strategic settings: Work, Share, Refresh, Show and Source.
It’s by no means a precise science, but Settings is a roadmap to help people understand exactly how they can make their offices as efficient and productive as possible, but most importantly, make their workplaces a desirable destination once more.
We ask questions and explore your business to understand your current workplace, and your vision for the future. Looking at culture, values, growth objectives, and the tasks undertaken by each individual, we provide concepts that outline the future of your workplace. We then provide a roadmap for implementing the change – from explanation of the design to colleagues, to training, final product selection, and project delivery. All managed by our in-house, expert teams.
We commissioned research to investigate the physical and psychological complexities of the modern-day working environment among senior management and above.
