We graft, but we do it with kindness, humour and respect
We’ve built a culture that fosters positive relationship building. We actively encourage human interaction and a sense of community. We have built spaces for coffee and connection, we organise social events, and we laugh – often, even in the face of adversity.
Our spirit has made us braver, sparked innovation, built trust and brought out the best in us all. And our culture spills beyond our walls, extending to our customers, suppliers, community and industry friends.
Each year we invite 1,400 people and their families to join us for a day to remember. One way we like to reward every employee is through our annual Family Fun Day. Every year, we host a gigantic festival of fun in the rolling fields of Lancashire to celebrate, and champion, our people, but most importantly, to create an inclusive environment for the whole family.
VIEW LIVE VACANCIESOur people are our most important asset, and their health, safety and wellbeing are paramount. There are many ways we take care of our people. We think labels are just for furniture...
We’ve been celebrating human differences for years. In fact, we over a decade ago we wrote a book titled, ‘one size does not fit all.’ We’re not a fan of labelling human beings – we leave labels for our furniture. Companies with diverse teams are 45% more likely to improve a market share, and 70% more likely to capture a market share. In inclusive environments, employees are more engaged and thus 50% more productive and 3.5 times more likely to contribute their full innovative potential. Why wouldn’t any company embrace that?
As ED&I strategies evolve, we have been helping to raise awareness internally and externally of the benefits it brings to business. We regularly review and republish our ED&I policy, circulating this out throughout the group to demonstrate our commitment.
One of the great things about working at The Senator Group is the ability to put forward an idea, and see it come to life. Being a family-owned company connects us on a more personal level to our employees. We not only listen to the opinions of our employees, but we also give them the autonomy, trust, and support to make changes that will continue to improve our business.
