We take wellbeing on the road

The health and welfare of our employees is paramount, and one of the ways we promote wellbeing is through our annual roadshow.

This ‘market-style’ event is held at four of our Lancashire manufacturing sites and is delivered to over a thousand employees. The event is aptly called, ‘All About You,’ as the topics have been chosen by our employees. Mental health charity Lancashire Mind talked about its judgment-free, confidential service; and SP Electricity Northwest talked about sustainability and energy saving – particularly helpful before we all switch on our Christmas lights!

Visitors saw demonstrations on how to take time away from your phone, stay safe outdoors, support mental wellbeing, and help protect the environment – one bit at a time.

There were samples, stress toys, freebies and competitions, as well as great advice on looking after your mental and physical wellbeing. The Senator Group has several initiatives to care for its employees, including a team of Health and Wellbeing champions, onsite occupational health nurses and regular health checks from the NHS.

“We have designed the roadshow around what people want to know about, which is how they can look after their emotional, physical and financial wellbeing, as well as learn practical skills to help their family, friends and local community. Even though these are serious topics, we make them fun and engaging, so that people go home and share what they learned about.”
