40 days of volunteering

Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is a government-funded initiative providing children and young people with healthy meals and exciting activities during the school summer holidays. The themed holiday club gave young people lots of opportunities to learn something new, create friendships, and take part in all things fun. All within the Youth Zone’s state-of-the-art facilities.

Employees of The Senator Group took part in various activities including design challenges, water fights, cookery, salon / nail painting and sports. The Senator Group also donated four Smyths Toys vouchers, and four sweet hampers as prizes.

“I loved to help the children during a morning workshop, and various sporting activities including Basketball, Air Hockey, Table Football and Pool too. I also assisted in the Maker Room, helping the children to design their unique Fidget Spinner designs ready for producing on the 3D Printers.”
